BIOGRAPHY
Taylor Chavez is currently enrolled at California State University Stanislaus and is working towards a BFA degree in painting. She has a passion for storytelling, which inspires much of her work. Having grown up in the Central Valley in California, her work takes inspiration from her Mexican-American heritage and recounts personal experiences and narratives. Her more recent series of work seeks to document her experiences with the Covid-19 pandemic. Her interest in the arts extends beyond painting, with her proudest achievements including obtaining a third degree black belt in taekwondo and creating "Imaginarium", an award winning animated short film.
